Well, we did it. We left Jack with Grammy and Grampy. It wasn't as bad as I thought. He did great, of course. (Or so they said...) We were gone for an hour and I'm sure he didn't even know. Or maybe he did and was thinking, "finally, some breathing room!"
Playing with G&G
Snuggling with my brother, Eric. Jack has only fallen asleep on his own (and by that I mean snuggling someone) on 3 occasions. Eric must have the touch. (Or Jack was just that tired.)
We had a great time in Seattle celebrating our niece's blessing and my birthday. She's so darn cute. She's the calmest baby I've EVER met. What a little dolly. I love spending time with my family. At church a woman briefly talked about forgiving family members and not holding grudges. I leaned over to my SIL and told her how grateful I am that our family does not participate in that sort of drama. SO GRATEFUL! Not that we always get along or always agree, but to us that's okay. We get over it because we know we love each other, and that doesn't change from one conversation to the next. It's constant. I'm one lucky dog.

Kaylin actually semi-smiling for the camera. What a firecracker!
Cousins. They have a ball together.
Alyssa and Lokelani. Can't believe my eyes.

Where did you and Parker go? I'm glad you got a little break. Sleep doesn't really count as a break because you're still "on call". We're so glad you guys could come up for the weekend!
Good job leaving Jack...it is hard the first time :) I CAN'T believe how grown up Alyssa and Lokelani are!!! I remember them just so little. I hope you had a great birthday!
